It's January 10th, and I haven't blogged this year. I haven't finished my Christmas books, so will have to rely on one of my archive visits. Last August, I finally made it to Canterbury Cathedral. Here are some of my photos.
The tomb of the Black Prince plus copies of his armour etc made from originals placed over the tomb. The Black Prince was responsible for the Prince of Wales feathers and the motto 'Ich Dien' - 'I serve'.

Oooh, lovely! Canterbury's one place I've never visited - hope to get there sometime.
It's one of those places you feel you should visit, and haven't, isn't it?
Canterbury is a place I should visit some time though I've heard it's very touristy. Well, maybe not on a cold winter day so I should plan my next trip for December or January. ;)
Hi Gabriele - it is VERY touristy - it's nearly £8 to pay to go in, and you can get Canterbury Archbishop teddies, tissues, chocolates - you name it, they have it.
