Beautiful photos, Anerje. I paid a visit to Pompeii when I was in my late teens. I had a chance to watch the archaeologists at work there :-) My sole zrzhaeological experience so far :-)
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see Pompei, but the Italian climate doesn't agree with me and I hate hordes of tourists. Maybe I should go there in January? :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Kasia - I'm sure there is plenty more to discover there. Who knows what else lies hidden there?
ReplyDeleteGabriele - it was sweltering - and I'm no fan of the summer and hot weather - but for history, I bore it:>
Fantastic! I so want to visit Pompeii. Read Mary Beard's book about it a few months ago - great stuff. Glad you had a lovely time despite the sweltering heat! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Kathryn, I think it is on most historians 'to do' list. Mary Beard is very entertaining and informative.
